Karvaura Returns & Refund Policy (RSA & International)

1. Return Policy Overview

  • 30-Day Return Policy: Request a return within 30 days of receiving your item.
  • Eligibility:
    – Item must be unused, in original packaging, and in the same condition as received (all accessories, tags, and documentation included).
    – Proof of purchase (order confirmation/invoice) is required.
    – Initiate returns by emailing hello@karvaura.com.
    – Returns sent without prior approval will not be processed.
    – Return shipping address will be provided when the order is returned.
  • Return Shipping:
    – Customers are kindly asked to cover the cost of return shipping for any returns, whether from South Africa or abroad.
    – We are unfortunately unable to reimburse shipping costs on returned items.
    – For South African orders, customers are responsible for return shipping and reshipping (if applicable).
  • We endeavor to package and protect your order to the best of our ability. However, Karvaura is not responsible for any damage or loss that may occur during shipping or transit. If you would like insurance for your shipment to protect against potential damage, please notify us at checkout so we can arrange this on your behalf.

 

2. Product Imperfections & Exchanges

  • Karving Kanvas is a layered product with a complex manufacturing process. Minor variations and imperfections are a cost of the complex process.
  • Product exchanges and returns are subject to the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
  • No exchanges or returns are accepted on products purchased during flash sale, clearance, or promotional events.

 

3. Material Safety, Product Use & Warranty

  • Material Safety: Karving Kanvas is a PVC-based product and is not safe for consumption. Do not ingest or allow children or pets to chew on the product. Intended strictly for artistic ,creative and therapeutic use only.
  • Product Use: Karving Kanvas may require sharp tools and contains materials that can be hazardous if misused.
  • User Responsibility: Karvaura is not liable for any injury, damage, or harm resulting from use or misuse of the product. By buying the product, you accept all risk and agree that any cuts, injuries, or damage are your responsibility.
  • Warranty on Manufacturing Defects: Karvaura offers a limited warranty for manufacturing defects, subject to approval from the supplier. Warranty claims are evaluated in line with the South African Consumer Protection Act. For all claims, photographic evidence and order details are required. Contact hello@karvaura.com within 7 days of receipt.
  • Damage on Arrival: Inspect your order on arrival. Report any manufacturing defects, damage, or incorrect items to hello@karvaura.com immediately (photo evidence required).


4. Exceptions & Non-Returnable Items

  • No returns on:
    • Custom/personalised items
    • Gift cards and sale/clearance/flash sale items
    • Any product returned after 30 days
  • Contact us if unsure before sending anything back.

 

5. Exchanges

  • Exchanges are processed as returns (return your item for a refund (if eligible), then place a new order).
  • All exchange shipping is at the customer’s cost.

 

6. European Union Customers: 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

  • EU customers may cancel/return orders within 14 days for any reason.
  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, with all tags.
  • All return shipping costs are paid by the customer.
  • Import VAT, taxes, and customs duties are also the responsibility of the customer.

7. International Shipping, VAT & Import Duties

  • International customers (including UK, EU, USA) are responsible for paying all import duties, VAT, taxes, and customs fees in their country.
  • Karvaura does not collect, cover, or reimburse these fees.
  • Customs clearance may cause delays; check local import rules before ordering.

 

8. Refunds

  • Refunds processed to the original payment method only (PayPal or bank transfer for international orders).
  • No store credit/vouchers issued for refunds.
  • Processing starts once the item is inspected and approved.
  • Allow up to 10 business days for refunds; additional time for international payment channels may apply.
  • Contact us if not received after 15 business days post-approval.

 

9. Dispute Resolution

  • For unresolved issues, contact hello@karvaura.com.
  • We aim to resolve disputes amicably. If not, your rights under the RSA Consumer Protection Act apply.

 

10. Sustainability/Eco Messaging

  • We are committed to reducing waste and using eco-friendly packaging.
  • You may contact us to arrange for recycling of used Karving Kanvas sheets (at your own shipping cost).

 

11. Legal & Consumer Protection

  • All returns, exchanges, and warranties comply with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
